bullet  General Notes:

Joan Peck writes "Ruth I knew very well. She lived in Wickham Market and mother and I often stayed with her It was at hers that I took my first steps alone !! Quite irrelevant!
Ruth was widowed in the first world war but never believed it and left a lighted candle in the window in case he returned She married Charles William Piggott and his name is on the Wickham war memorial. Later she married
George Offord who was manager of the Gas Works and then they moved to Portsmouth where she must have died
There were three children by her first marriage Bert, who worked for the prison service at Hollesley, Ruby who went to Canada and Eric who lived in Southampton or Portsmouth Bert married Renee? and lived at Rushmere after he retired. Their children were Clive, Prison service I think, Janet a nurse and Alan."
